Erasmus+ Training Course: “Enhancing Youth Work with D.E.O.R Practices”

The Erasmus+ programme continues to be a catalyst for educational innovation and intercultural exchange across Europe. One key pillar of its long-term impact is the strategic use of Dissemination and Exploitation of Results (D.E.O.R.), a fundamental element that transforms projects from isolated experiences into lasting sources of inspiration and change.

The project “Enhancing Youth Work with D.E.O.R Practices”, implemented by High on Life APS and coordinated in collaboration with youth organisations from nine countries, was specifically designed to empower youth workers with the tools, methods, and mindsets needed to make their projects visible, impactful, and sustainable.

A European Lab for Dissemination Strategies

Over the course of an intensive 8-day training course, 31 youth workers from Europe and neighboring countries engaged in a dynamic programme combining non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and practical workshops. The goal? To make D.E.O.R not just a requirement, but a meaningful practice embedded in the DNA of every youth-led initiative.

Participants learned to plan dissemination as a creative process from day one, linking it to visibility, sustainability, and real-world impact. Through hands-on sessions, they explored how to make project results engaging and accessible, both online and offline.

From Canva to Cameras: Tools for Real-World Impact

One of the most appreciated sessions was the Canva workshop, where youth workers learned how to design clear, compelling visual content—from posters to infographics and social media campaigns. These skills empower participants to communicate their messages effectively, reaching broader and more diverse audiences.

Another highlight was the video-making workshop, where participants experimented with storytelling, editing, and video formats including interviews, testimonials, and promotional reels. These activities not only boosted technical skills, but also demonstrated how creative media can enhance credibility and attract future collaborators and stakeholders.

More Than Skills: Building Trust and Transnational Bonds

The human aspect of dissemination was equally central. Energizers, team-building activities, and intercultural exchanges were woven throughout the programme to strengthen trust, connection, and cooperation. These social elements laid the groundwork for co-creating dissemination strategies that are truly relevant across different countries, realities, and communities.

Participants shared national challenges and solutions related to youth visibility, marginalisation, and local engagement. These moments of deep exchange fostered a common European identity and a commitment to make youth work more visible and valued.

D.E.O.R as a Driver of Long-Term Change

The project demonstrated that when D.E.O.R is approached as a creative and strategic process—not just a checkbox—it becomes a powerful lever for change. Participants left not only with new digital tools and ideas, but with a renewed sense of purpose: to make the stories, methods, and achievements of youth work visible, valued, and replicated.

By turning knowledge into action, and results into ongoing opportunities, Enhancing Youth Work with D.E.O.R Practices is already having a ripple effect, inspiring youth workers to lead more effective, visible, and connected projects in their communities.
